Let me recommend a book

Namaste folks!

It’s book recommendation time! Are you sitting on the edge of your seat, jumping up and down in excitment? No? Fair enough ^^’

Still, this month book is a really cool one:

This is “Mister God, this is Anna” by the british writer “Fynn”.

Anna was only four years old when Fynn found her on London’s fog-shrouded docks. He took her back to his mother’s home, and from that first moment, their times together were filled with delight and discovery. Anna had an astonishing ability to ask–and to answer–life’s largest questions. Her total openness and honesty amazed all who knew her. She seemed to understand with uncanny certainty the purpose of being, the essence of feeling, the beauty of love. You see, Anna had a very special friendship with Mister God.

My mother gave this book to me a couple of years ago, along with the words that it touched her deep inside and that she would love me to read it. I have to say, that the title did not appeal to me very much, I wouldn’t consider myself as a very religious person and the book remained untouched for quite some time. But when I actually read it I understood why my mother wanted me to read it. It’s the very beautiful story of a 4 year old and her views on the world which are very clear, simple and maybe true? It is not so much of a religious book after all, although “Mister God” plays a rather important roll in little Annas world. I’d say it’s more philosophical then religious.
This book will make you think, it will make you cry and it will make you smile. It’s great.

My favourite picture of the month December

Namaste folks!

First of all – Happy new year! I hope 2017 will be YOUR year! ♥

From this last month I selected 3 pictures I took – I hope you’ll like them ^^

In Germany origin the christmasmarkets, a streetmarket in the four weeks of Advent. During this time people go to the little huts and drink a hot mulled wine or other christmas treats. Munich is a pretty big city and there were over 130 christmas markets in the town and near by. My all time favourite christmas market is the Winter Tollwood. A christmasmarket that is very crafty and alternative. It’s huge and I always love to go there. This year they had a christmas tree made out of bycyles, which was really cool and it looked even more amazing then on the picture.

Wintertime in Munich. I took this picture a few metres away from my doorstep in the early morninghours of a foogy day. I loved the mood.

Last but not least – this is one bauble on our christmas tree this year. It’s sparkling and I like things that sparkle ^^

The Big five procrastination things…

Namaste folks!

Who doesn’t know that? You want to sit down and do some serious studying, you want to clean the bathroom or finally get on the tax returns, but there are so many other things that keep getting in your way!?

Well today I will rank my top 5 procrastination things, aka things I do when I really should be doing something else:

5. Eating

A thing I very much like to do when I really should better go and do some laundry. Some chocolate.. a sandwich… or I could bake a cake! (…don’t wait up for me, I got some eating to do).

4. Writing (letters, postcards)

I should do some studying? Homework? Essays? Look, all the pencils are already out, so I might as well write a letter and one or two… or twenty postcards!

3. Internet

The internet is an easy distracter. I should write an essay for university and facebook keeps sending me notifications. Look! I just got an email, a new swap-bot.com swap is up and oh, this animal documentary on youtube that takes just 2 hours seems interesting!

2. TV

I think everyone gets distracted by the TV once in a while. You start to see a few episodes of a series on Netflix and before you even noticed – 5 hours flew by and you still want to keep on watching.

Instead of doing anything else I love to just cuddle and eventually just to fall asleep. My boyfriend is perfect cuddle-material and when he is not around a stuffed animal does the trick as well.

The big 5 candy bars

Namaste folks!

A new section I am quite excited about! The big five! 😀 For a starter here are the big Five Candy Bars in my life! What is your favourite candy bar?

5. Mr. Tom

I used to love this in school! It is basically just peanuts glued together with some sticky sugary stuff that would make your teeth all sticky. I used to eat that a lot in school until they got rid of all the unhealthy stuff and only sold salad and stuff haha. They rarley sell these in normal storesaround where I live, but every now and then I manage to get one. Heavens!

4. Snickers with Almonds

Aw so yum! Sadly, we don’thave these in Germany, or at least I never saw them around here. I had these in Chile and in Nepal and oh they are so great!.Almonds are already awesome on their own, but the combination with the chocolate and the caramel…ayayay

3. Kinder Riegel

A classic. This is the candy bar my mother always had in her cupboard. The candy bar my grandmother always got for us. I honestly think I never bought one of these myself but I loved this as a child and my grandmother still always gets these for me and my sisters when we come visit her.

2. Yogurette

I seriously love these! They are gold during PMS.seriously! Inside, there is some yogurth stuff and little pieces of strawberries, all covered in chocolate. Soo good!  They are a little lighter than normal candy bars, so you can easily eat about 3-4 without getting a serious stomach ache ^^’

1. Balisto (orange)

My number 1. Without any doubt. I LOVE these! There are many different types with milk and fruits, but I like this plain version with oats best. I can pretend it to be healthy and it is yummy! What else can you wish for in a candy bar? Sooo good xD
