Let me recommend a book

Namaste folks!

I would like to recommend you the following book:

This is one of my all time favourite books! It is called Inkheart and was written by the german author Cornelia Funke.

“Meggie loves books. So does her father, Mo, a bookbinder, although he has never read aloud to her since her mother mysteriously disappeared. They live quietly until the night a stranger knocks at their door. He has come with a warning that forces Mo to reveal an extraordinary secret – a storytelling secret that will change their lives forever.”

When Mo reads out loud, the figures in the books become alive and get to this world. Sadly they are not always the nicest people and soon Mo and Meggie have to run away from the monsters they have called. The evil Capricorn wants Mo to read for him, so he can get all the treasures hidden behind the pages. But the gift comes with a price, because the people don’t only appear, but also disappear…

I love this book, because it is a love declaration to books. Mo once said to Meggie:”  If you take a book with you on a journey, an odd thing happens: the book begins collecting your memories. And forever after you have only to open that book to be back where you first read it. It will all come into your mind with the very first words… yes book are like flypapers. Memories cling to printed page better than anything else.“

I love how Funke writes, because she just can make you forget about everything. The persons are so well thought out and you can’t help it and fall in love with every caracter.

Inkheart is a series of 3 books and every songle page of these 3 books are so worth to read them!
